Where does our honey come from?

Honey is honey is honey. Or is it?

You won’t find the honey we use for Buzz Power on the shelves of your local supermarket.

Made without compromise

Our honey is of the absolute finest quality and contains all the natural ingredients that make honey such a valuable and rich nutritional source. We don’t source from China or other countries that pump their honey production full of antibiotics, or micro-filter for longer shelf life (and thus stripping virtually all of honey’s powerful natural health-giving properties in the process).

Organic processing methods

Our honey is extracted from the comb by centrifuge and filtered without heating to remove wax particles. The honey and processing methods are all certified EU organic standard conformity by SGS, an internationally respected certification consultancy, and by the USDA.

EU Certified Organic

Sourced from the wild

We only use certified organic honey and each batch is traceable back to its original source. This contrasts with blended honey which contains honey from non-certified sources and is subject to adulteration with sugar. Also some honey imported into the UK has been banned from the USA because of water contamination and producers use banned antibiotics.

Buzz Power’s pure organic honey is sourced directly from beekeepers and apiaries located in and around one of the largest protected national parks in Europe. Our hives are situated far from pollution zones and in an area famous for a huge variety of wildflowers. The mountains are home to over a third of all European plant species, as well as brown bears, wolves and lynx.

Keeping your honey in top condition

We source the honey for Buzz Power direct from certified beekeepers and beekeeping co-operatives, so it's totally different from the honey you buy in supermarkets.

Supermarkets are supplied by honey packers who blend and pasteurise honey imported from different countries many of which have poor beekeeping standards. Pasteurisation also destroys most of the trace elements that give honey its unique properties.

Buzz Power honey is pure, organic and unpasteurised, so it retains all the unique qualities given by Nature. All honey will eventually crystallise. Honey is a super-saturated solution so crystallisation is a natural process and can easily be reversed.

You might find that over time your Buzz Power acquires a slightly gritty texture. This is caused by small crystals starting to form. Crystallisation does not affect the quality of Buzz Power, indeed many people like a little “crunch”. However, it is very easy to bring it back to a runny state.

Just leave it over-night in a bowl of hot water out of the tap, and any crystallisation will disappear. This does not affect the product quality in any way,
